Open the Door To Music Education

It is the mission of the Valley Music Academy to provide quality music education to all children of our community, regardless of gender, race, creed, or financial resources, while demonstrating that music is a powerful means of encouraging cooperation, celebrating diversity, building self esteem, and cultivating a sense of nonviolence and social justice.

Valley Music Academy Office is in the lower level of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church 500 S. Wayne Avenue in Waynesboro.

VMA offers music education through Musikgarten for children ages 4 months to 9 years, private music lessons for children and adults in all brass instruments, clarinet, drums, flute, guitar, saxophone, viola, violin, cello, piano, and voice and the Jazz Ensemble and Valley Voices for children ages 7-11 years. The Academy has grown in five years, from 2 faculty members and 60 students to 12 faculty members and over 250 students. 12% of the students receive scholarship assistance.
