The Brad Keefer Scholarship

The Brad Keefer Scholarship was created by Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church to support music study by students in Waynesboro public middle school and high school. Scholarship(s) will be awarded for the 2024-25 academic year.

  • Students must reapply annually to be considered for a scholarship. Renewal applications are due August 1 of each year.

  • Parents/Guardians of the scholarship recipient must agree to the terms for the scholarship award.

  • Scholarship award amounts are designated as a percentage of the regular tuition.  The percentages are determined annually by VMA based on funding and budget considerations.

  • Scholarships awarded are based on donations and grant funding to VMA and cannot guarantee that scholarship funds will be available each year.

  • Once the review process is complete, award recipients will be notified by email.

As part of the mission of Valley Music Academy, financial assistance for tuition for Musikgarten and private music lessons is awarded to eligible students through the age of 18 in the form of scholarships.  Scholarship availability and amount of award is determined annually based on grant funding and the state of Valley Music Academy’s current financial budget. VMA awards scholarships based on (1) the financial need of the family and (2) the musical progress, effort, and potential of the individual student. VMA uses the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines in determining scholarship amounts.
