SCHOLARSHIPS
As part of the mission of Valley Music Academy, financial assistance for tuition for Musikgarten and private music lessons is awarded to eligible students through the age of 18 in the form of scholarships. Scholarship availability and amount of award is determined annually based on grant funding and the state of Valley Music Academy’s current financial budget. VMA awards scholarships based on (1) the financial need of the family and (2) the musical progress, effort, and potential of the individual student. VMA uses the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines in determining scholarship amounts.
-
Scholarships applications are reviewed and awarded in August of each year.
-
Applications are due no later than August 1 of each year.
-
Students must reapply annually to be considered for a scholarship.
-
Incomplete scholarship applications cannot be considered.
-
Once the review process is complete, award recipients will be notified by email.
-
Parents/Guardians of the scholarship recipient must agree to the terms and sign for the scholarship award.
-
Scholarship award amounts are designated as a percentage of the regular tuition. The percentages are determined annually by VMA based on funding and budget considerations.
-
Scholarship awards will be applied to fall and spring semester student tuition (mid-August through May of each year) only.
-
Applications received after August 1 may be considered; however, any awards that may be provided after the initial application period has closed will be adjusted based on any remaining funding available.
-
Scholarships awarded are based on donations and grant funding to VMA and cannot guarantee that scholarship funds will be available each year.
